🔹 Square Tricks
Squares are frequently used in simplification and approximation questions in bank exams. Learning shortcut methods can significantly reduce calculation time.
✅ Trick 1: Square of Numbers Ending in 5
Concept: Very fast method for numbers ending with 5.
Formula: (n5)² = n × (n + 1) | 25
Examples:
- 25² = 2 × 3 | 25 = 625
- 65² = 6 × 7 | 25 = 4225
- 85² = 8 × 9 | 25 = 7225
✅ Trick 2: Square Near 100
Concept: Use (a + b)² formula.
Example: 103²
- (100 + 3)²
- = 10000 + 600 + 9
Answer = 10609
Example: 97²
- (100 − 3)²
- = 10000 − 600 + 9
Answer = 9409
✅ Trick 3: Square of 2-digit Numbers (General Method)
Example: 54²
- (50 + 4)²
- = 2500 + 400 + 16
Answer = 2916
