🔹 Multiplication Tricks
Multiplication is one of the most time-consuming areas in bank exams. Using shortcut techniques can drastically reduce solving time.
✅ Trick 1: Numbers Near 100
Concept: When numbers are close to 100, use base method.
Example: 97 × 96
- Base = 100
- 97 → -3
- 96 → -4
- Left Part = 100 - (3+4) = 93
- Right Part = 3 × 4 = 12
Answer = 9312
✅ Trick 2: Numbers Near 50
Example: 48 × 52
- Base = 50
- 48 → -2
- 52 → +2
- Left Part = 50 + (−2 + 2)/2 = 50
- Right Part = (−2 × 2) = −4 → Adjust = 2496
Answer = 2496
✅ Trick 3: Cross Addition Method
Example: 43 × 47
- (40 + 3)(40 + 7)
- = 40² + (3+7)×40 + (3×7)
- = 1600 + 400 + 21
Answer = 2021
