🔹 Multiplication Tricks

Multiplication is one of the most time-consuming areas in bank exams. Using shortcut techniques can drastically reduce solving time.

✅ Trick 1: Numbers Near 100

Concept: When numbers are close to 100, use base method.

Example: 97 × 96

• Base = 100
• 97 → -3
• 96 → -4
• Left Part = 100 - (3+4) = 93
• Right Part = 3 × 4 = 12

Answer = 9312

✅ Trick 2: Numbers Near 50

Example: 48 × 52

• Base = 50
• 48 → -2
• 52 → +2
• Left Part = 50 + (−2 + 2)/2 = 50
• Right Part = (−2 × 2) = −4 → Adjust = 2496

Answer = 2496

✅ Trick 3: Cross Addition Method

Example: 43 × 47

• (40 + 3)(40 + 7)
• = 40² + (3+7)×40 + (3×7)
• = 1600 + 400 + 21

Answer = 2021
